The Stone of Scone or Stone of Destiny is the coronation stone that was used during the coronation ceremonies of Scottish monarchs. The tradition was later adopted by British monarchs after the Stone was stolen during the war of independence.
Nearest neighbour again. There is a carved ship (birlinn) that relates to some of the carving at Rosslyn. This is quite a cool place to have an Easter Egg hunt. Below here is where William and his friends chuck their eggs. The chapel is used every other Easter by the local church. Below this are the remains of the monks walled garden from which we pick holy rhubarb. I am having holy rhubarb crumble (with custard; I'm catholic in my tastes) tomorrow.
