Open since 1945, the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar hasn't changed all that much over the years — and that's a good thing. Aside from a classy-looking bar and island-themed tables and chairs, it boasts a lagoon in the middle of the joint that sees periodic rainstorms crop up.
It's a total fantasy inside the Fairmont Hotel, and, inside the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, tables surround a lagoon where the band floats on a ship-shaped stage.

Top 10 Things to See and Do in San Francisco - my very favorite city. We haven't been to the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar or Alcatraz (no desire to visit a prison) but we've been to the rest. A beautiful city! I also recommend a boat ride around San Francisco Bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge.
