Eik is based on the simple idea of going into the woods and gather 8 wooden sticks and tie them together, and how you can create simplicity over your furniture. Eik is produced by the Danish company Bolia.

Idea for joining wood for a garden trellis. (Seems I once read an article on the numerous ways Japanese craftspeople have for joining wood.) I was looking for a way to make it easier for plants to climb a pergola upright. Another idea was using copper tubing for the horizontal members, inserted through the uprights.
