Shrimp and Grits (Saveur Magazine). I used polenta (basically the same as coarse ground grits) and country ham (instead of bacon).  And, while presentation is better with them, it's easier to eat if shrimp tails are removed before cooking. I also mixed a little pimento cheese into the grits at the end (may have made a little creamier; really didn't have enough to affect the taste). I also caramelized an onion (and used as a garnish).

Shrimp and Grits.Yummy, great tasting low country goodness that make for a wonderful meal anytime day, or night! I could even eat this for breakfast with a couple eggs! In a smaller portion of course!
