Silesaurus is a genus of dinosauriforms from the Late Triassic, approximately 230 million years ago in the Carnian faunal stage of what is now Poland.Fossilized remains of Silesaurus have been found in the Keuper Claystone in Krasiejów near Opole, Silesia, Poland, which is also the origin of its name. The type species, Silesaurus opolensis, was described by Jerzy Dzik in 2003. It is known from some 20 skeletons, making it one of the best-represented of the early dinosaurs and related animals

Fossil Alligator - Alligator prenasalis - This extinct member of the family Alligatoridae is the earliest known member of genus Alligator. It is a well known species from many fossils collected in the Oligocene Epoch - 33.9 ± 0.1 to 23.03 ± 0.05 Ma (million years ago) - layer of the Chadron & Brule Formations in South Dakota

The Burgess Shale in British Columbia contains very old (~550 million years ago), very rare fossils of very early organisms. This is Haplophrentis. The function of the pair of short spines is unknown but the creature was tiny, just a few centimeters in length (hint 2.5 cm = 1 inch, more or less).

Fossil Gar Scales are known as far back as the Cretaceous Period, about 110 Million Years ago. Fossil Scales are found all over Florida. Good examples are the ones from the Pliocene Deposits of Sarasota County, Florida, dating back 2-3 Million Years ago. Atractosteus lapidosteus species, is an extinct gar found in Vero, Florida and named by O.P. Hay. It may be the same as the living species today - Atractosteus spatula.

Prehistoric Garfish, one of the oldest fish alive today. It is truely a living fossil! Fossil Garfish can be found in Florida.

Megaceros Giganteos

"The Irish Deer or Giant Deer was a species of Megaloceros and one of the largest deer that ever lived. Its range extended across Eurasia, from Ireland to east of Lake Baikal, during the Late Pleistocene.

Prehistoric marine reptile fossil has embryo inside - Polycotylus latippinus is a marine reptile which lived about 78 million years ago. The fossil, which is 15.4' (4.7 m) long, has an embryonic skeleton inside, including little ribs, 20 vertebrae, shoulders, hips and paddle bones, resolving the mystery of its reproduction (live birth). Scientists had long thought the creature was not built to crawl on land to lay eggs, but there was no evidence to support the theory

A mummified dinosaur, unwrapped from the rocks of Montana, has revealed how the creature looked and how it lived 77 million years ago — down to the texture of its skin and the contents of its stomach, scientists say. THE DUCKBILL DINOSAUR, nicknamed Leonardo, was fossilized in an unusual way, its discoverers reported Thursday at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology’s annual meeting in Norman, Okla. Only a handful of such dinosaur mummies are known to exist, they said.

Susan "Sue" Hendrickson is an American paleontologist. Hendrickson is best known for her discovery of the remains of a Tyrannosaurus rex in So. Dakota on 8/12/1990. Her discovery was the largest T. rex specimen ever found and one of the most complete skeletons. This skeleton is now known as "Sue" in honor of her discovery. It is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago, Illinois. She has also found other important fossils and artifacts around the world.
