For sale by Victorian Elegance: Mid-1800s. dress is one piece with a matching cape. The dress has a small, stand-up collar and center front hook/eye front closure. Green buttons accent the front however the hook/eyes are the actual closure. Cape's centre front closure is decorated with green buttons (not working) the front and hem have five (5) bands of green trim.
Typical of Restoration Court dress the gown is made in a beautiful blue and gold silk brocade (other colour combinations available) with matching plain blue silks and satins and adornments of silk taffeta ribbon - very popular in the seventeenth century.
