I drove to an overlook just east of Fall River Mills to catch the evening sunset. As the sun darted in and out of the clouds its rays briefly lit up places on the earth's surface. Last night I drove to a spot along the Sacramento river that my app, Photopills, indicated I could see the moon rise over the Sundial bridge. It was a beautiful, clear evening but very cold. I kept running back into the car and turning on the heater while I waited for the moon to rise.
