A "Poulet Frit Kentucky" in Gatineau, Quebec. Even though I only moved to Ontario from Quebec in 2004, I can't honestly say that I had seen a Quebec PFK location with an old-fashioned sign with "Poulet Frit Kentucky" written out ever since all the KFC's in the Montreal area had switched over to being the French-initialed "PFK" in the early 1990s. But, evidently, a few restaurants in Quebec still have their older "Poulet Frit Kentucky" signage intact.
The late Dave Thomas, who passed away in 2002, founded Wendy's & went on to be featured in over 800 different ads for Wendy's. Another fun fact, Dave Thomas got his start with KFC in the 1960's and helped its success by coming up with their Chicken Bucket and convincing Col. Sanders to star in his own commercials. He went on to sell his shares back to Colonel Sanders for 1.5 million in 1968 to finance his own restaurant - Wendy's. #1990s #90s #retro #television
