Tessellated Pavement , Pirate's Bay , Tasmania, 2008 Another of our shots from the famous Tessellated pavement demontrating the "loaf" formation of rock (and pans in the distance) that gives it its almost man-made look. We set out from Hobart at 3am to get here by dawn but sadly, no colourful sunrise, just a murky grey day which had a slight magenta cast on long exposures ! This was a 50 second exposure in semi darkness - needed plenty of rotation to get the horizon straight..wtb night…
