On 15 September in the year 2000, the world was captured by the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games held in Sydney, Australia. It was a tribute to Australia’s culture, history and identity. The ceremony concluded with former Australian Olympic champion Herb Elliott bringing the Olympic Flame into the stadium.
