Start by trimming a boneless beef sirloin steak into two and a half by quarter inch strips. I feel like this is country-fried steak needs chicken fingers. Now, for the marinade, I'm going to beat together egg, buttermilk, grilled seasoning, and a half a cup of flour. Toss the meat in until it's well coated. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for a couple hours. For the easy coating, just combine flour with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sift it all together so there aren't any clumps. The next step is to take the marinated steak, coat it in this goodness, and freeze it for an hour. This is a lot cheaper. Than buy a chicken fingers at a restaurant. These go in the freezer for about an hour. In the meantime, I'll heat up my oil. Then, working in batches, add them to the oil, cook them for just a couple of minutes or until they're golden brown and crispy. A buttermilk marinade is going to make meat so tender and then the outside. I'm sorry that these steak fingers are better than chicken fingers.

Watch as Nicole DIYs her favorite crispy Micky D's sandwich and then takes it to the Golden Arches drive-thru... | By Allrecipes | Arguably the best thing on the McDonald's menu, the filetofish and we're making it Copycat style. I'll start by making the coating for the finish by whisking together eggs, mayonnaise, dijon, cornstarch, flour, paprika, and a little bit of salt. Mix that until it's well blended. Then take your fish, pat it dry, season it with a little salt and coat it in the egg mixture. Then coat it well in the panko breadcrumbs. Now just fry them up in some hot oil and let them drain on a wire rack and then we'll build the sandwiches. You can't forget the tartarsauce and if you're like me you want extra. Start by combining mayonnaise, relish, chopped onion, capers, parsley and sugar into a food processor and process that until it's smooth and stir in some more relish and more chopped onion to give it a little texture. The secret to the perfect steamy bun, cheese on the bottom half, then take a little bowl, put a damp paper towel in, place it down on the plate, cover with another bowl, and pop it in the microwave. I mean, that looks dang good. Let's go compare it to the real thing. Y'all you know my fish looks better. One of these things is not like the other. Now, let's taste the OG. It's probably been like 10 years. Honestly, it's not quite as crunchy as I remember it but I'm not mad at it. Now, let's taste this. That's good. This crunch here, ten out of 10. The tartarsauce taste very similar, spot on. You all should make this. If you haven't ordered the fillet of fish lately, don't bother. Just make it at home.

How to Make Easy Appetizers | You Can Cook That with Nicole | Allrecipes | Don't spend all your time in the kitchen when you have guests over! Let Nicole show you how to make five easy appetizers that will please any crowd—and... | By MyRecipes | Mhm, today I'm sharing with you five super simple appetizers that will get your guests happy and keep you out of the kitchen. The first one is what I like to call the surprise guest. You want to add something surprising maybe a little trendy into your party menu. And today for me that is bacon wrapped pickles. To our pickle spear, we'll add a little cream cheese and then wrap it with a piece of bacon. You want these to be a little bit dry so that the cheese and the bacon will stick to them. The thinner almost cheaper bacon is going to work better. You don't want to use like a thick hardwood smoked bacon or it won't ever get crunchy. These are kind of reminiscent of the old jalapeño peppers but with pickles. Kind of like it. We're going to bake these at 400 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes or until they're good and golden and crispy. Smells good. Look at this. These took me a little closer to 12 minutes because I like my bacon to get a little on the crisper side. I also think this appetizer would work really well in the air fryer. Definitely delicious on its own. Let me try it dipped in a little ranch. Dipping it in ranch is more reminiscent of like the fried pickles. It's good. Next stop, crock pot appetizers. If you're not breaking out of the slow cooker at your party, what are you even doing? This is called outrageous warm chicken nacho dip. Put your chicken and your rotel in here for about two hours on high. And then I use my little kitchen shears to just kind of help shred it up. Then we'll just add everything else to the crock pot. And cover this up and let it go. The most fun about this appetizer is the way we serve it up. Nachos favorite food ever. I forgot to stir in the sour cream earlier but I'm still stirring now. I typically set up a buffet style where people can make their own nachos. Another fun idea, especially if you're kind of outdoors and you just have your crockpot plugged in somewhere is to serve just a little individual bags of corn chips, and then you can just make your little nachos in a bag. Perfect while it's all around. Mhm. And for my next trick the ultimate no-cook appetizer. This is a Mexican style shrimp cocktail. It is so refreshing and full of flavor. I just got back from a trip to Mexico and this was served at every meal and I just fell in love with it. So happy to bring it to you today. It starts with precooked shrimp. So your seafood counter can do this for you, or you can just buy precooked shrimp that's already been peeled. And what makes this one so special is the sauce. It's almost like a gazpacho meets shrimp cocktail. So it's super tomatoey, very refreshing with all these fresh vegetables. So after you've eaten your shrimp with this delicious sauce, break out the saltines to slurp up the rest of the sauce. That's a lot of fresh goodness in one bowl. Stir it up. Give it a little taste. Mhm, now if you're just serving this up for your family or yourself, you just put your tomato goodness in a bowl, add your shrimp and let it sit for a while in the fridge, and then just eat it with some crackers. But if you want to be a little fancy, little shot glasses, you know that's cute. Get your shrimp in there, let it take on some of that flavor. This looks way more impressive and way more difficult than it was to make. You'll definitely have to try this this summer, it's the best shrimp cocktail I've ever had. I don't want to mess up my little platter, but I do have to get the perfect bite. I just can't explain how good this is. If you like shrimp cocktail, you will love this. You'll wanna incorporate something fresh and healthy into your menu, especially if you're inviting someone like camera boy over who's going to be looking for that healthier item. Am doing that today with a peach caprese salad. I'm replacing the tomato in a classic caprese salad with fresh, ripe peaches and putting it all on a stick. [SIGHS] Wish you could smell that. Take mild peach wedges and cut them in 1/2 so you get a nice bit-sized chunk. I'm gonna thread that with these tiny little balls of mozzarella and fresh basil. These are good to go just like this. But if you want to take them up to a little fancier level, you can add some balsamic glaze. You can pick this up at the grocery store near the other vinegars. I'm going to give it a little drizzle and then I sprinkle with some flaky sea salt. This is going to add all those perfect bite taste together. You're going to have sweet and tangy and a little bit salty. This summer you should definitely try caprese with peaches. Trust me. Mhm, so good. You definitely want to include something hearty on your menu when you're planning food for a party. I also love it when this hearty item is hand-held. So I'm making buffalo chicken taquitos. Now these are inspired by the classic Mexican style dish, but I'm just going to fill them with one of our party favorites, buffalo chicken dip. So you can use these straubel buffalo chicken dip, maybe stir in a little extra cheddar cheese, or make your own favorite version of buffalo chicken dip and just fill them inside of a flour tortilla and roll it up. And the great thing about these is that they're going into our air fryer. A little spritz of olive oil or you can just brush them with some melted butter. 400 degrees in the air fryer for about six to nine minutes. The life of the party is done. If you want to add a little color and a little more texture, you can top them with some sliced celery and some crumbled blue cheese, maybe a little hot sauce, whatever you're feeling in ranch dip, of course. Toasty on the outside, a little cheesy and gooey on the inside. Spicy. Love it. Mhm, it might be my new favorite way to buffalo. There you have it. All that's left is waiting for your guests to arrive. When it comes to the easiest, most delicious appetizers ever, you can cook that. One day I'll have to tell you about the time I ate nachos every day for a year. MAN: We have time. [MUSIC PLAYING]

GET THE RECIPE:... | By Allrecipes | - [Nicole] Check this out. - [Josh] What are those? Oh my goodness, are those scallops? - [Nicole] Those are scallop potatoes. And you'll see why when I'm finished. First step, of course, peel the potatoes. We're gonna cut off the ends. You're gonna just cut them like this. But we're gonna need some more potatoes. Watch this. (finger snap) - [Josh] Uh, that's a cocktail. - [Nicole] Oh yeah, I needed that anyway. But for real this time. (finger snaps) I'm gonna make sure they're nice and dry. Season up with a little bit of Kosher salt. Time to hit the pan. Start with a cast iron skillet, butter for flavor, and the oil to let us get it nice and hot. This dish is a little time consuming, but I'm telling you, it's gonna be so worth it. I'm going in with my potatoes. We're gonna go eight minutes, just like this, until they're nice and golden brown on the other side. For extra flavor, we're gonna baste the tops of these potatoes. All right I think it's time to flip. - [Josh] Flip 'em. - [Nicole] Woo hoo hoo. Look at that browning, it looks just like a seared scallop. We're going another eight minutes. Gonna give these another basting. - [Josh] Ooo, those are looking delish. - [Nicole] Now that we have a good sear on both sides, we're just gonna move these to the side while we create a sauce in the pan. - [Josh] There's a sauce you say? - [Nicole] I mean Josh, what's scallop potatoes without a creamy, indulgent sauce? - [Josh] Just potatoes I guess. - [Nicole] Just boring I guess. First we're doing onion, fresh thyme, and garlic. Okay now we're gonna create a little roux in the pan by adding a little bit of flour. But I'm about to add some cream. Look at that. We're gonna bring this to a simmer and let it thicken slightly. You know we're gonna add our yummy cheese. - [Josh] What kind of cheese? - [Nicole] Gruyere. - [Josh] Gruyere. - [Nicole] I'm gonna put these potatoes back into this Gruyere bath. I'm gonna cover these with foil, bake them at 375 for 45 minutes until they're perfectly tender. Say hello to my little friends. - [Josh] Oh my goodness. - [Nicole] Y'all, look at that. Let's make sure the potatoes are nice and tender. Woo hoo hoo, oh yeah. Okay I'm gonna crack some fresh black pepper over the top and to make them a little healthier, fresh chives. Oh my gosh, that looks so good check this out. Here it comes. Oh yeah, I did it, those are scallop potatoes. - [Josh] Nicole that looks so good. - [Nicole] Yum. I can't wait any longer. I've never seen anything like this. Oh my gosh. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, creamy, savory, and absolutely amazing. You can fix your own plate.
