Horseshoe Falls (again)
Horseshoe Falls, Mount Field National Park , Tasmania An old unprocessed shot from Horseshoe falls during our wanderings in Tassie last year. Really difficult day to shoot waterfalls with nothing but bright sun and the occasional small cloud drifting by - sooo, as I keep saying, this place will need a revisit! Taken with polariser and 2 stop circular ND. Edited in CS4 : - Shadow highlight layer to bring out the foreground and reduce the waterfall glare, Gaussian blur layer to reduce water…
Boat trip today on Bruny Island south of Hobart. Probably the best $100 per head I have spent. Sea Caves and kelp forests. Spectacular coastal cliffs and sea stacks. Guide actually judges the swell and takes us through the gap a few times. Australian Fur Seals. Amazing how close we can get to these animals. One of those places you see and know you must visit to see if the colour is real. The astonishing Blue Lake is along the road from Barnbougle Golf Course and the quaintly named Tomahawk camping area in North East Tasmania. No matter whether it is a blue sky day or somewhat less, the waters are this unreal - you cannot describe it to anyone else - colour. Image credit: Sam Lin IG

When the long stretch of highway turns bright white—it was built from silica rock—you’re almost to Corinna (from $180), a gold rush settlement turned ecolodge on the edge of the tarkine wilderness. Follow the trail from your cottage to see ...
