Boronia heterophylla
These pink flowers are one of several Boronia species blooming in my garden right now, heavily perfuming the air. Boronia heterophylla is native to western Australia, a region with a Mediterranean climate of mild winters and dry summers, similar to coastal California. The common name for this shrub is Red Boronia, although this cultivar is obviously pink instead of red.
Boronia crenulata "Shark Bay" #3
Boronias are native to Australia. Several different species and varieties are available. Some of my Boronias have flowers that are bell-shaped, but this variety has petals that spread wide open.
