These contemporay forged steel balustrades made using traditional blacksmithing techniques for an old coach house. They were designed and made by Verdigris a contemporary forge and metalworking studio.
Hand forged house number out of steel with copper rivets. Surface is hammer textured with a clear finish.
The trick is to mill both boards at the same time with your router, so the edges mirror each other. Bowed or not, they’ll always fit tightly. The router makes quick work of jointing two boards at once.
