Color Palettes, Acessories, and how to cope with a Blue Bedroom Wall without feeling you're down inside an aquarium.

Let your rooms evolve over time. Live in the space a little while before you make big changes so the room has time to speak to you. That way, you can begin creating spaces in your home that not only are beautiful, but also function really well. The only way to know what works and what doesn't is to try it out and give it some time. -- Nate Berkus
Collage of Soose's current blue bedroom walls, new oak flooring and mahogany furniture. (Also, a white slip-covered Ikea armchair I'm thinking about putting in there to help cut down the percent of blue, and our current duvet cover from Ikea which doesn't match anything else we have.) I have 2 queen anne end tables but they are one-drawer and not very functional, so thinking of replacing them with a couple of other items in the house as shown.
"A cobalt-blue backdrop will add gravitas to a busy floral pattern. This pretty wisteria print is packed with enough color and personality as it is, but might have lost its drama against pure white. Instead, the bright blue tongue and groove paneling (right down to the baseboard) enhances the beautiful purple and green flowers. The touches of sunny yellow add the flavor of spring."
