Newstead House, Newstead, Brisbane, ca. 1950 - Newstead house is Brisbane’s oldest surviving home, established in 1846. The house occupies a commanding position within the beautiful maintained Newstead Park, on the Brisbane River, right next door to Breakfast Creek. It has with views of the Hamilton and Bulimba reaches of the Brisbane River and it remains available and accessible to the public.
