An Idaho monster! Larry Warren caught this rainbow trout from the North Fork of the Clearwater River on January 8 using 6 lb test line. Before releasing it, he weighed it at 28.37 pounds. Because the fish was not weighed using a certified scale, it will not go in the record books, despite the fact that the current Idaho record for a rainbow trout is just over 20 pounds. The good news is, the fish is still swimming in the North Fork, and your turn might be next!
