Julius "Nipsey" Russell (September 15, 1918 – October 2, 2005) was an American comedian, best known today for his appearances as a guest panelist on game shows from the 1960s through the 1990s, especially Match Game, Password, Hollywood Squares, To Tell the Truth and Pyramid.He died in 2005 at the age of 87 in New York City, after suffering from stomach cancer. His ashes were buried in the Atlantic Ocean.

Born Clerow Wilson, Jr. (December 8, 1933 – November 25, 1998) in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was one of ten children born to Cornelia Bullock and Clerow Wilson, Sr. Flip Wilson was an African American comedian and actor. In the early 1970s, Wilson hosted his own weekly variety series, The Flip Wilson Show. The series earned Wilson a Golden Globe and two Emmy Awards. In January 1972, Time magazine featured Wilson's image on their cover and named him "TV's first black superstar"
