this is some work from my first shoot for the project. I was starting to think about shop fronts and how especially little shops are starting to close, so i wanted to compare two shops that were right next to each other, one opens and one closed.
I also like this image as well. after reviewing and looking at it I think that it does not show a place but instead removes the place and only focuses on the 'stuff' inside. When comparing the full and empty images, I don't think it matches and sits well next to the chicken shed image. I think this may be due to the angle I have photographed the image at.
I have taken this on my second shoot. I think I have identified and area the I will defiantly go back to. I think the two spaces work well together in showing my two sides of farming. The actual camera craft itself could be better by removing the fence out of the frame and reducing the amount of light that is coming from the left side of the photograph.
FINAL: I have selected this as my 'empty' final. I think that this best documents this because of the composition and how the front on perspective gives the area a much grater scene of space that is empty.
This is of my grandparents farm in Geelong. I have grown up as a child at the farm and had many good times. I chose the chicken house as I was always to scared to go inside. I also saw that this could be the 'empty' side of the two photographs, as all the chickens have now died.
