Ned Kelly: Australian Iron Outlaw | Hero | Legend
The last photos of Ned Kelly were taken by the official Melbourne Gaol photographer, Charles Nettleton on November 10, 1880, the day before Ned’s execution. In this full-length study, Ned holds the cord attached to his leg irons to disguise the withering of his wounded left arm and rests a fist on his hip to mask a crippled hand.

Ned Kelly - Australian Criminal. Fantasized himself as a "Robin Hood" type of outlaw. After being hunted by authorities for several years, police closed in on him and his gang. He was tried and convicted of numerous crimes including the murders of several policemen. His last words on the gallows at Melbourne before being hanged were, "Such is Life."
