On Saturday we wrote TRICKY WORDS from JOLLY PHONICS onto stones and decorated them and made them into a TRICKY WORDS PATH. Even though we used permanent pens, I will still need to go over them with clear nail posh to stop the words being rubbed off. We will leave them in a path for a while but will also put them in bag so children can put hand in, select word, read and then put into a sentence- LOADS of ways to use these and hope our parents might consider making their own!

Our children LOVED making this with Q tips and we discussed the various bones we have, revised the sk for skeleton blend and enjoyed SKIN AND SKELETONS from Literacy Tower books and various Halloween books from reading a-z We have also written many spooky stories after completing these! I find that art ALWAYS gets the brain working and ready for learning!
