Love the monochromatic feel of this landscape...very dos-like and soothing *soft, ground cover, grasses, gravel, green with grey toned foliage.

Carpobrotus glaucescens, common name "Pigface", is an Australian native succulent groundcover with edible fruit that tastes a bit like salty apple. The fleshy leaves can be used like aloe vera on stings and bug bites, or dehydrated and used as a salt substitute. Very drought tolerant. Can assist with erosion control by soil binding, particularly sandy soils due to roots which emerge as it creeps along the ground.

Aussie Rambler is a tough giant flowering native 'Pig Face' that forms a dense cover of sprawling foliage, making it an ideal ground cover plant.

Eremophila 'Kalbarri Carpet' as ground cover, could match up to the Coastal Banksia foliage and yellow/gold inflorescence.

Spear Lily (Doryanthes excelsa) Spectacular compact heads atop tall, thick stems. Description from pinterest.com. I searched for this on bing.com/images

Gymea Lilly - Amazingly hardy plants a clumping green strappy foliage then spikes that lead up to a Waratah looking flower. I love them for their hardy demeanor and they do attract birds when they flower in winter.
