Play with your food—without the mess—with these pin-loom vegetables. Each vegetable is constructed from simple squares stitched together and folded, cinched, or rolled for just the right shape. Add a little batting to give them that squish factor and you’ve got yourself a cute cornucopia of veggies perfect for a play kitchen or as a “snack” for any stuffed bunnies or rocking horses that might feel a bit peckish.
Stick It in Your Ear: Your Body as Spinning Tool
You can make a really narrow band loom with just your hands! It has warps that go up and down, and it makes a shed just like a real loom. No treadles are involved, unless you’re the clumsy type and accidentally step on your hand, which is a good reason not to try this while seated on the floor. Find other handweaving and spinning tools you have right on your body on the blog!
