The ‘duty of care’ bill is a chance for the government to show it cares about young people
Anjali Sharma (she/her) is a 19 year old law student and climate advocate. At 16, Anjali took the government to court, arguing that they owed a duty of care to young people to protect them from the impacts of climate change, and having this ruling overturned, she’s now pushing for the government to legislate this duty.
