Este arbolito perteneciente a la familia de las Leguminosas, cuyo porte redondeado e irregular lo hacen uno de los arboles mas usados sobre todo por su coloración. Puede alcanzar de los 3 metros a los 10 en muy buenas condiciones. Sus hojas son perennes , compuestas, bipinnadas con 30-40 foliolos pequeños y de un color verde glauco. Pero lo que realmente es llamativo es por su floración compuesta de pequeñísimas flores, casi reducidas a un filamento y que se agrupan en bolitas amarillas…
